A study on a health risk self-assessment test published in the International Journal of Eating Disorders showed that among 24, 608 women and 21, 743 men, binge eating was reported on a rate of 11.19% in women and 7.5 % on men. This disorder is characterized by eating in secret because you have feelings of guilt and shame for eating too much; feeling like you have no control over your eating that you need to have more to feel satisfied; eating even if you’re not hungry and this starts to become a habit, and frequent eating of large amount of food in short periods of time.
